Motorola, Philips Obtain Chinese TD Licenses
Mobile Data Terminal Nineteen TD terminal manufacturers, including foreign brandsMotorola ( MOT ) and Philips, have obtained a network access license from China'sMinistry of Information Industry for a total of 29 types of TDterminals, including 24 mobile phones and five data cards. The 24 TD mobile phones are Datang TG1000, Philips TM700,Holley8310, HuaweiS220, HuaweiS330, HuaweiS660, HaierT300,HisenseT68, HisenseT66, LongcheerTD290, LenovoTD800, LGKD876,MotorolaL800t, SamsungL288, SamsungI688, TCLU398, UTStarcomD60,PandaTD988, AmoiT5, XinyoutongN268, Yulong Coolpad6260, ZTEU85,ZTEU980 and ZTEU981. The five TD data card are Chongyou D-HSDPA data card TCN230, DatangData Card DTM5722, Huawei Data Card ET608, Xinyoutong TD-HSDPADataCard H301 and ZTE Data CardMU318. Compared with April 1 when there were only six types of TDterminals when TD was first put into commercial trial use, thecategory of China's TD-SCDMA terminals has been much enriched withthis expansion. Consumers will have more options after China Mobilecompletes the second round of TD bidding
